The scene is set on a ship's deck, the wooden planks worn & weathered. In the foreground, there is a sack and a pile of items. The pile includes clothes, spice jars, & boning knives. The main focus is the group of figures. At the center, much to his dismay, is Sanji. He has his hands raised in a placating gesture as he looks nervously, forcing a smile, up at the figure looming over him. This figure is at least a few feet taller than Sanji, & very bulky. There are many jagged, broken spines protruding from the man's mottled skin, & a downright malicious smile that splits his face & bares yellowed, rotting teeth down at Sanji. His clothes are tattered and stained, so dirty that any colour has been long lost to browns, greens, and, concerningly, reds. The group of figures surrounding Sanji are fishmen, all more or less similarly dressed. This one, their leader, is a pufferfish fishman. Behind Sanji, we see another figure; a Lamprey fishman who, if he stood up straight, would be easily twice Sanji's height. He is uncannily long & lanky. His hair is dirty, oily & slick. Where his mouth should be, there are rows & rows of pointed teeth. No lips, just jagged spikes sticking in all directions from gums. There's no real way to close such a mouth, so lines of drool hang down from it. He's peering down at Sanji & reaching towards him. To the right is a catfish fishman, whiskered, mottled brown, and leaning forward towards Sanji. Gripped in his hand is a flintlock, and there are flip flops on his feet. Behind the catfish are two other figures; a web-footed fishman with hair like kelp who is holding a sack & looking at the cornered chef with amusement, and a grinning octopus fishman. Behind the pufferfish on the left are two more figures. Almost blocked from view is a figure with webbed hands & a tattered skirt. Towards the rail behind her is a shark-ish fishman, turned away. The scene is shrouded in a layer of fog, and the sky is dull.

A WIP of a digital illustration. A pufferfish inspired fishman and a lamprey inspired fishman are far too close to (live action version) Sanji. Sanji is realizing that, while trying to talk his way out of this without fighting (so that he wouldn't destroy the little ship that he and Zoro had borrowed), he has backed himself into a metaphorical corner.

Sanji, design based on the live action version as per the fic this is based on. He is shirtless, leaning forward against Zoro's hand, and completely out of it. He is pale as a ghost, bleeding profusely from the left side of his head, as well as from his nose, and not in the fun way. The blood dripping from his head has coated Zoro's hand where it supports the side of Sanji's face, and Sanji is grasping at Zoro's arm for some sort of stability or comfort. A dark bruise has started to form on the right side of his jaw, and his pupilsare blown out, signaling a concussion. In the background, faint words are written. The words come from Zoro, and they read: "COOK! Take it easy, Cook.. I'm here.. I've got you. You're okay..."
