I've been craving deep dark rich colours. This week, two polishes with a deep reddish-plum jelly base and a contrasting teal: shimmer (Root of All Evil by Mooncat) and flakies (Ghosts At the Gate by Polished for Days). This may be my favourite manicure of the whole year!

I ordered a polish a while ago and when I received it, the colour was wrong. It was supposed to be a somewhat bleached royal blue but it looks periwinkle to me, too purple and grey. I contacted customer service and they sent me a replacement bottle... Same problem.

Third week of magnetic polish on my short nails. This time, green and purple! Mad House by ILNP, a new-to-me brand—I find 90% of their catalogue a little too basic for my taste, but this one really jumped out at me, it's giving Jack Nicholson-era Joker.

I tried a new-to-me technique this week: glass bead magnetic. There's a little tool you have to put your finger in and spin the top while the polish dries. Tedious but the results are magical! Also hard to capture in a photo, video does a much better job.
