Bulls would want to see Support here or a quick recovery of a dip below it.

S&P futures lead Russell at a 20 day z score of 1.87 and Dow at 1.54, with $ES_F off 0.32% since the last close. Options charge 12.61% for the first month and 14.49% forward from day 30 to day 99, so more risk sits later. Oct 28 carries 22% odds of a 25 basis point hike.

S&P 500 futures at 7881.00 have run 54.75 points, 0.85 of a 64.15 point priced day. The 7807.04 gamma flip sits 1.15 of that day below, and above it dealer hedging tends to absorb moves. $ES_F carries that cushion into the FOMC minutes on Wednesday Oct 7.

#ES_F Development: The minor Control has migrated lower to 7743.50 (from 7762). This is very close to the 1/2R off the August high (dashed line on chart) at 7739.5. Control close to centre of range is a balance between Buyers and Sellers. I'm using 7743.5 as the key reference here...more on chart

A 5.75 point rise since the prior session's close leaves $ES_F at 7721.25, still 30.54 points under the 7751.79 gamma flip. That gap is 0.48 of a 63.4 point priced day, and with net dealer gamma negative here, hedging tends to add to moves. Payrolls print Friday Oct 2.

#ES_F The given Support levels have not yet been convincingly broken. ES has opened RTH below the 7762 minor Control but is managing to hold 7739.5, the 1/2R off the August high (dashed line on chart).
