It would be nice if people in #NYCDHS shelters were allowed to bring their animals. DHS rules allow #EmotionalSupportAnimals, but workers refuse to allow even certified service animals already approved as a disability accommodation.

Charlie is never very far. He’s always seemed to mirror my moods and needs. I wish I had more energy now for him but he’s a tall boy, big 7 year old boy and we’re both slowing down together
