Sylvana Simons has had quite a career! After starting as a background dancer for UB40, she became a VJ for TMF before hosting reality TV-shows on Dutch television. In 2016, she created her own political party and after some years of being a council member of Amsterdam, she was elected as an MP in 2021 and that same year, received the Ribbius Peletier Award for political achievement.
