Seen earlier today on the #SBB🇨🇭#Gotthard line: an #SBBhistoric excursion train. The short consist included the red lightweight #DiningCar #WR700 from 1958 and was hauled by an #Re6/6 #Re620 electric. When they were built in the 1970s, these locos were among the world’s most powerful locomotives.

#Jesenice 🇸🇮 yard in the early 2000s: pictured here are a Class 813.1 diesel unit of the Slovenian Railways #SŽ on the left, and two cars of the Serbian Railways #ŽS, among them a #DiningCar at the far end, to be integrated, later that day, into the consist of #InterCity #211 “Sava” for #Belgrade 🇷🇸.

Last night on an #ÖBB 🇦🇹 #Graz to #Vienna domestic #InterCity. The train included #SBB🇨🇭#EuroCity #Transalpin cars. Originating in #Zurich, they were (re-)used for a Vienna round trip. As a consequence, the #DiningCar was Swiss, the crew and the menu Austrian. Enjoyed a Wiener Schnitzel for dinner.
