Breathing heavily, pinned to the wall, the maid stares ahead of her at the predator that finally caught her.
An unnaturally wide grin, blood dripping and coagulating on the lower half of a pale face, and an expression that could not look more pleased if it tried, looms one of the Dimitrescu sisters.
She squints up at her, the darkness of the dungeon obstructs her from identifying which of the sisters this is. All she can see is the glint of a sickle and bright, shining eyes, dilating at the sight of her fear.
In her last moments she wishes she could look brave, maybe even defiant, but in the end, just like many before her, she was merely a mouse before a trap, already in motion of snapping shut.](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_fullsize/plain/did:plc:vlvou6vsd3jhi2zzkxd4kxys/bafkreid46dmnvabvq7yfltdk5z73yl3t5xovmprhen3uvqtsoqg65mjikq@jpeg)
