Didn’t take many photos as I guess didn’t have phone set right or something. Two of my favorite paintings won awards by two wonderful artists. I didn’t win any this year as competition was so wonderful. The show runs at The Biggs Museum in Dover until end of October. #Delawareart #artshow #artists

A young art teacher from Ukraine originally drove over from Maryland to compete. She had been in US for four years. Her painting is just fabulous and hard to believe it was completed on only two hours for the quick draw event held on Saturday. JT’s painting is wonderful. He painted down the street from me when I was painting Mirror Lake. Such a fun week. So fun for see a longtime friend, Penny, who is also a collector of my work from Florida. She is from Dover and we worked together for a couple of years when she was so young. She told me my paintings have now moved with her to 8 different houses since she moved down there decades ago. We both lost sons in the past couple of years and shared so many things over the years. Friends truly do help make the world go around and such a better place to live in. I’ve been so fortunate to know so many people around the country and have so many moments of joy and tales to tell. Penny was connected to one of the most interesting times when I had an experience with the Rainbow People in a national forest in Alabama or Arkansas. I always get the A states mixed up. You do a lot for your kids and sometimes it’s a trip to the far side and back. She has her parents care now which I also had back in the day with my Mom. Shared experiences do a lot to keep friends in touch. So glad she and her twin sister, Pam, had time to stop by. She looks terrific and has hardly changed a bit!

Don’t Want To Be Computer Rock & Roll

I used leftover cuts from 2 different collages plus some circles aquí

The title is a Matt O’Brian lyric from Flying Object’s “Heads Or Tails”
