Chapter 5: The Thornwood is now live on both Toyhouse and Wattpad (links in the comments)! 🌳

Prince Sandrin and his bodyguard, John, have escaped the city under siege and now must face the Thornwood, a dark and mysterious forest...

Screenshot of the first two paragraphs of the next chapter of my novel on Toyhouse. There's a title card above the text, light bluish green on dark green. The title is: The Thornwood. The text is as follows: "He felt like dancing when they saw the hut; of course his injured leg was already throbbing from all the wandering in the forest, so Sandrin didn’t even want to imagine how bad it would’ve hurt if he tried dancing. The sun had set a while ago, and thanks to the thick canopy of the Thornwood, darkness had engulfed the two lost travelers even before that. John might have been an exquisite fighter, but it seemed his navigation skills were on par with Sandrin’s—meaning they were basically nonexistent. On their first night they had had to fight off a few Xantron soldiers who had gone after them, and during the scuffle they had gotten off the forest road and had completely lost their bearings. They hadn’t slept much that day with unrecognizable, unsettling noises serving as their lullaby."

Light, bluish green text on a dark green background: "Chapter 1. After an 18 year time skip, Fantinte's child, Sandrin, lives as the 'Bastard Prince' in the city of Hawenwall. He is constantly harrassed by the townfolk because of his birth and his father's pro-elf views. His country is in the process of negotiating a peace treaty with their enemies, but Sandrin doesn't care much about the war: he only wishes to know if he'll see his childhood friend, Ebyana, again. When he recieves a letter explaining that Princess Ebyana ran away from home, he becomes hopeful and worried at the same time."
