This Damson tart, based on a Hannah Woolley recipe of 1664, was made last week with damsons picked from a friend’s tree. Scrumptious with a dollop of clotted cream!

Looking for advice from folk who grow #Damsons 🤔 This "self set" was growing under the canopy of our Merryweather. Yes: it may be 'orrid or amazing, may even revert to a Sloe🙄. Should I try to train it - or as I've just read "never train Damsons"..? Was thinking fan or espalier - but now..? #damson
