@craigscanvases.bsky.social![Ever wonder what an artist does on vacation?
They do more art stuff [of course]!!!
Highlights of our time away in Delaware last week include being up before dawn to see two very glorious sunrises, finishing a book [The Grand Affair: John Singer Sargent in His World by Paul Fisher] and starting a new one [My Name Is Asher Lev by Chaim Potok], catching a very cloudy sunset on an interesting weather day where the sun had a glowing ring all day, visiting the Rehoboth Art League, using our camera to capture colors and textures to incorporate into artwork in the future, and soaking it all in while spending time eating, drinking, and relaxing with the family.
Thank you for allowing us to share these highlights with all of you and more importantly for your continued support that granted us this opportunity to escape for a bit and come back re-charged and ready for the busy season ahead of us!](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_fullsize/plain/did:plc:v5m64ly2e37c6uhrukospoqd/bafkreihl65lj3nuw3sahbwepcczy2k6a2a6zbdhrcqetcnszzgwc5oqlce@jpeg)

@craigscanvases.bsky.social@craigscanvases.bsky.social![Somehow we are near the end of the month and we've yet to share photos from our September 2026 Cocktails & Canvases Event held in The Brownstone Lounge. We're so happy to continue being Harrisburg's gayest paint & drink monthly event; where we embark on our adventures for all attendees to create some amazing artwork!!! We had three of our more fall-themed artworks on hand as inspiration; some chose to use ours and others found inspiration elsewhere! At the end of the afternoon, each person put their own aesthetics and imagination into an artwork that's truly one-of-a-kind!!!
Mark your calendars to join us for the next Cocktails & Canvases; to be held on Sunday, October 18, 2026 starting at 3:00 PM at The Brownstone Lounge [412 Forster Street, Harrisburg, PA, 17102]. Registration for the event is currently available on our website and is discounted to $25 through tomorrow: Wednesday, September 30, 2026! Our October theme will be "Forecasting Fall Favorites;" so, hopefully you'll be ready to paint something celebrating the warmer tones and cooler temperatures of Fall or whatever else you might dream up!
We'll see you there!](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_fullsize/plain/did:plc:v5m64ly2e37c6uhrukospoqd/bafkreigppfs7gm23zqxy336ai6ij7xgkvc2stjecc4a7slas7nb6wqm4q4@jpeg)

@craigscanvases.bsky.social![The flooring in the studio space has taken up a significant amount of our Spring and Summer; but, hopefully not too much of our Fall! We wanted to share a quick update that since filming is over we've returned to working on the floor in our studio! It's nice that we can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel [albeit a hazy one from all the dust and grime]!
Hopefully soon we’ll have a space to share with all of you and/or use it to get back to creating some amazing art that we can unveil in the coming months! That's our update for today! Hopefully your working Wednesday's going well and thanks for tracking the progress along as we've been putting in the work these past months!](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_fullsize/plain/did:plc:v5m64ly2e37c6uhrukospoqd/bafkreifftjs642xviuoctzymn3vc5bmw4bgctec4fpdainvafflj5jediq@jpeg)
