@ryangarrett.bsky.socialAnother album anniversary. This one is 30 years old today. My personal favorite Counting Crows record.

🎶 A long December and there's reason to believe/ Maybe this year will be better than the last

@gingeknievil.bsky.socialI haven’t listened to this album in over 30 years. My teenage years were turbulent, but this LP struck a chord. Many positive school memories. So, how does it stand up now? Pretty good in fairness… even if it is probably the most AOR rock album in my collection!!
@bookedonrock.bsky.socialWho was the REAL Mr. Jones? 🎸
A night out in San Francisco, a flamenco guitarist, and a drummer surrounded by women inspired the '90s classic!
Author Geoff Harkness shares the story on Booked On Rock.

@stennierich.bsky.socialUnder the Aurora has a lot of non-lexical vocables.
@rgmm.bsky.socialYou watch a movie like #TeenageSexAndDeathAtCampMiasma and see a scene where a trans character takes out their revenge on a group of camp counselors in the most over the top blood geyser ways you love the song playing under it all, yes you do. #CountingCrows #ALongDecember

@superbjorn.bsky.socialYeah I’m a lame-o from the 90s who loves Counting Crows still so much. When they play live they love to through cover songs in the sets (in New Orleans they’d play secret shows of all covers).
This covers album is lovely. #countingcrows
@ericshurson.bsky.socialCounting Crows - August and Everything After
I think would add this to a top 10 debut albums from the 90s list.
