Perfect conditions to survey the lower #Conwy estuary. Several Grey Plovers, two Kingfishers, Bar-tailed Godwit and Guillemot were unusual here, as was a Sandwich Tern for October.

Good counts of Eider (10), Sanderlings (99), Ringed Plovers (61) and Little Egret (14). #BirdingWales

#Folklore has it a ghost at Llangwm, #Conwy, could appear in the woods as a fiery light. This weird spook could also appear as ‘a large dog gnawing a bone’ or, of all things, a turkey! At Llanfor, #Gwynedd, a ghost in a three-cornered hat could, among other tricks, make the church glow at night.

Today's share is another #art experiment. Having bought a batch of pastel pencils, I thought it was time to try them out. This is based on my photo of a railway arch in #Conwy I definitely need lots more practice, but I'm pleased the pencils allow much greater control and detail
