It's getting to that time of year
When early morning showers
Gently pull you awake,
From that place
Where you were chasing goblins
On your purple unicorn.

The scent of jasmine
From pinwheel jasmines
Adds to the concoction
Of fallen dreams.

The Tuesday That Tried Its Best to Break Her

You don't have to conquer every tough day. Sometimes you just have to make it through and give yourself credit when you do

The Little Jar of Joy

Sometimes you simply leave a little behind...

October yawns and stretches
As the veil begins to thin,
Light and darkness dance together
Long shadows wander in.

The dead rise from their tombs
Dusting swaddlings of cotton linen,
A silent witch watches both worlds
Her season now begins.

The Little Things That Bring Us Joy

Sometimes joy is already scattered throughout your ordinary life.

A dry earth moans
in delight
As soft rain releases wetness,
Forming warm pools
That gently seep
Into cracks and crevices
Long laid parched
By a merciless sun and long
summer months.
Dry rivers gulp
And belch.
Inhale, exhale.
Rainy days are nigh.

I Finally Got My Life Together… It Lasted 75 Minutes

At 7:03 on Monday morning, I made a terrible decision.

#tuesday #tuesdayvibes #fblifestyle #chooseday #tuesdaymotivation #TheCoolBeans

On #Chooseday,
I choose to let it all go.
My fears of not-enough-ness
And all those tears
shed,
In the middle of the night
When ghosts of past failures
Haunt the corridors of my mind,
Reminding me,
What I could have been.

Now, I walk to the sea,
Letting the salt wash me
Clean.
I am
Now free.
