Nothing is better than a home-cooked meal, especially during difficult times. WCK's #ChefsForNepal teams distributed customized meal kits, complete with about 3 days worth of ingredients that families can use to cook the recipes they've loved for generations.

Recovery doesn't just mean regaining access to meals—it also means rebuilding joy. At Yellow Monastery in Kathmandu, many families and children are still displaced. WCK partners brought burgers from restaurant partner Pumpernickel Bakery, then joined them for playing and dancing. #ChefsForNepal

A few weeks after WCK's team first arrived in Gre, Nepal, we're still supporting families. When we met with community leaders, they asked for simple necessities like oil, salt, shampoo, and soap. Our teams are delivering these items, plus treats like brownies for local children. #ChefsForNepal

The flooding in Nepal washed away several bridges across the Trishuli River. We met a group of residents operating a ropeway box to ferry people across. We distributed hot meals to these volunteers to sustain them while they help their neighbors. #ChefsForNepal

In Nepal, residents and community organizations fuel WCK's work. Our partners at Nepal Scouts are visiting our kitchen at Chandi Basic School, which has been repurposed as a community center after the recent flooding. There, they cooked, served meals, and connected with families. #ChefsForNepal

Nepalese families are beginning the long road to recovery after the recent flooding devastated the Nuwakot region. Whether through hot meals, water, or ingredients, WCK teams are there to support them, working side by side with local partners to provide what communities ask for. #ChefsForNepal

When WCK teams learned that families in Swara Valley, Nepal, had to travel across dangerous terrain to access fresh water, we decided to bring the water to them. With our local partners, we laid flexible pipes to bring water to the families living in tents after the recent landslides. #ChefsForNepal

The local government and other organizations have provided dry goods for Nani and her neighbors, and our teams are providing fruit, vegetables, and eggs to fill the gaps in fresh food that are still difficult for these remote communities to access. #ChefsForNepal (2/2)

Our teams are making regular helicopter deliveries to Gre to distribute staples like rice and oil, alongside other necessities like soap, to make sure residents have what they need as they recover. #ChefsForNepal

Whether we travel to kitchens by car, by foot, or even by helicopter, our #ChefsForNepal team and local community partners will use any available means to ensure people impacted by the recent landslides have something to eat.

For WCK, connecting with the communities we serve goes beyond familiar cuisine. When our #ChefsForNepal teams delivered meals in Galaudey, southwest of Bidur, we met Kusum and her daughter, who were displaced by the floods. (1/2)
