Out of all my WIPs, I think I have to give this to Julius from #Charagma.

Yes he has loads of trauma & a bitter grudge, and he knows he's going to hell someday. But he's also living it up as a powerful warlord, partying & being worshipped by his citizens, murdering for fun 😂

And one from #Charagma. I haven't written much of Charagma yet, but I really like this passage of Light & Mem's first kiss. It's not as focused on imagery as my similes/metaphors usually are but I think it still counts. (There's a few scattered sprinkles of metaphor/simile in here I'd say)

#Charagma:

This story has 2 contrasting locations: the high-tech flying city of Arx Lucis, & the apocalyptic wasteland of Terra Tenebrae.

Arx Lucis has a lot of the same symbolism as the Great Citadel, but even more corrupt. Unlike the grimy Tenement, in a lot of ways it's the "shiny" side of

#Charagma:

Mem - Results but she tells herself it's honor

Clara - Genuinely honor

Light... is really hard to decide actually 😂 He goes to extreme measures & does a lot of things people would consider dishonorable, but he has his own strong internal code.

Serena - Results... to an extent

#Charagma - For this one I'd 💯💯💯 pick Damjan Mravunac. "Who's that?" I hear you ask. He did the soundtrack for the Talos Principle games & it's the perfect mix of sci fi/ancient/religious vibes.

#Charagma:
Mem & Clara both wear sets of beads: one gray, one pink.

The beads aren't just for decoration - they're the relics that hold the bond with the family's guardian angels, Sitael (gray) and Hakamiah (pink). They were originally their dad's, but he makes the girls wear them for protection.

#Charagma:

Mem & Light are both excellent planners.

Mem is usually anxious about the future & trying to plan for every possible thing that could go wrong.

Light is good at setting long-term goals - sometimes VERY long term - and patiently executing them while making sure he has alternatives.

#Tenement:
Mortimer is just doing what he thinks is best and trying to save everyone from dying in the dark! Unfortunately that means making some hard decisions, but if that's what the Tenement demands...

#Charagma:
Once again my long list of antagonists 😅

IF SHE WAS HONEST, Mem would probably write a shockingly smutty scene between her and Light. But then she'd delete it in shame, lol.

Clara would write about herself going to a great party with Mem, and for once Mem isn't being a stick in the mud. Depending on where we are in the story,

Thanks for hosting again, Khonri! Because of this game, both Arx Lucis AND Capria went from "idk, place??" to developed settlement with a clear identity. At this rate I'll need to give you a writing credit in #Charagma! 😂

#Tenement - a YA dystopia about a boy living in a creepy infinite building who sets out to discover his world's secrets.

#Charagma - a dark fantasy series set in a world where Calvinist predestination is real & those fated for heaven are born with a mark on their brow.

I'll finish them one day! 😅

I'd say Noah is pretty similar to Mireia, though he's a bit more capable of tolerating boredom 😂

#Charagma:
Neither Clara nor Mem are very patient. Clara gets bored easily & Mem starts to get anxious.

Light is VERY patient. A useful skill as an assassin!

Serena - she's gotten better! 😅

Nobody is officially stated to be bi in #Tenement as far as I recall, but Kazuo does give me bi/pan vibes, so I feel like if anyone is it's him.

#Charagma:
My girl Clara! She loves a hot dude and a hot lady equally, & anyone in between as well. So she's really pan, but we'll count it 😅

#Charagma:
Mem tends to give a pretty poor first impression: awkward, judgy, humorless. This isn't entirely inaccurate, lol. She gets lucky when she first meets Light & manages to come across as hopelessly awkward in a cute way instead (not on purpose 😂).

She doesn't have many friends. 🥲

He has a dog named Ozzie, & he's also able to get Nat's cat Luna to trust him when she's scared 😭

#Charagma:
Serena is really good with horses, but I'm giving this to Cassius because he taught her all she knows. He's good with all animals, including horses, & is a bit more patient than Serena 😅

#Charagma:

Mem. Definitely Mem.

Anxious, misguided girl plagued by the trauma of her mom's suicide & the horror of knowing that either she or her sister are damned to hell, but not knowing which one. She causes horrible suffering, only to later be confronted by what she's done in the worst way 😭

And especially not if he's played by Charles Dance in the film adaptation that will totally exist one day (thanks for indirectly giving me this idea @sayaashrah.bsky.social 😂)

#Charagma:
Oh poor Mem 😭 A lot of people are gonna want to punch Mem, on several occasions. And just when you think...

#Charagma:
Clara - her optimism in the face of an extremely bleak world, even as she learns more about just how bleak it is.

Mem - her unwillingness to give up, even though she goes down a bad path sometimes 😭

Light - his unwavering conviction

Serena - her determination to find meaning in life
