Day 1511 #CDsOnTheShelf #MusicChallenge #MusicSky #bluegrass Squeezing in some CANCON because I forgot to photograph them with the non-CANCON CD covers as they came off the shelf. Three pretty good albums here although only one of these recordings is mostly bluegrass. Bella's dad's CD is excellent.

Day 1510 #CDsOnTheShelf #MusicChallenge #MusicSky #bluegrass The Volume Five album was memorable whereas I 'should' remember the Wake Frankfield and Leon Morris album, but do not. Need to listen tonight.

Day 1509 #CDsOnTheShelf #MusicChallenge #MusicSky #bluegrass I pulled one of these CDs to play on a future radio show; listen in on cjsr.com Sundays over the next month to find out which.

Day 1508 #CDsOnTheShelf #MusicChallenge #MusicSky #bluegrass More Rhonda Vincent, including one of the worst album covers in the long history of bluegrass music.

Day 1507 #CDsOnTheShelf #MusicChallenge #MusicSky #bluegrass Onto the last couple letters of the alphabet on our bluegrass shelves. The Vickie Vaughn EP is quite good, and Rhonda's The Storm Still Rages is a modern classic.

Day 1506 #CDsOnTheShelf #MusicChallenge #MusicSky One final day of catch-up it would appear. The Leeroy Stagger album is wonderful and I reviewed it quite a while ago. The Shari Ulrich is also good, and I haven't got to the others yet- still in the giant 'next listen' pile.

Day 1505 #CDsOnTheShelf #MusicChallenge #MusicSky #Bluegrass and Grass-adjacent discs rescued from a festival fundraising bin. Always pleased to add these masters to the collection. Laurie Lewis doesn't walk on water, but I've never seen her with wet feet.

Day 1504 #CDsOnTheShelf #MusicChallenge #MusicSky Rescued from a variety of places- I was surprised when I discovered the Del wasn't already on my CD shelves- no there is a great album cover.

Day 1503 #CDsOnTheShelf #MusicChallenge #MusicSky Boy Golden's second album is quite impressive. The rest were radio station tickle trunk finds or in the case of The McGarrigles, a charity shop find.

Day 1502 #CDsOnTheShelf #MusicChallenge #MusicSky Was happy to add the Baez 2-discer in place of my single copy; now, find time to listen. Was very pleased with the Oysterband & The Once CDs, neither of whom I've delved into before. Kody Norris Show was sent to me for airplay & I've played a couple.

Day 1501 #CDsOnTheShelf #MusicChallenge #MusicSky Finally got the Dan Weber CD back from a person I lent it to more than 5 years ago; @everettlaroi.bsky.social EP is brand new & smokin'! The other 2 came from the radio station tickle trunk- still need to give a listen altho I'm familiar with both.

1500 days of #CDsOnTheShelf #MusicChallenge #MusicSky between here & the other place. That's some 6000 commercially available CD/sets & we're only about 70% done. More catch-up today: Three flavours of vintage country today. The Jones is decent, the Willie informative & enjoyable, & Ian is hit/miss.

Day 1499 #CDsOnTheShelf #MusicChallenge #MusicSky Playing catch-up for several days. Pleased to add a hard copy of Gabriel Plays Live to the collection, and the Willie doing Merle album is surprisingly enjoyable. The Mountain Heart album is a 'modern' classic.

Day 1498 #CDsOnTheShelf #MusicChallenge #MusicSky Play catch-up for several days. I bought the Small Faces set on a spontaneous whim & was more than pleased. Found the Motown set & The Rose @ charity shop- still enjoy The Rose; Paula Fong is a recent review & it impresses.

Day 1497 #CDsOnTheShelf #MusicChallenge #MusicSky Going to play catch-up for a few days; the CDs are piling up and need to make their way to shelves. Found the Dwight box set last weekend for the cost of a sundae, and the Clash and Lloyd Cole for even less. The Dwight has sent me on a bit of a trip.

Day 1496 #CDsOnTheShelf #MusicChallenge #MusicSky #Bluegrass A pair of Bluegrass Uncles- Uncle Earl and Uncle Monk featuring a guy who once was a Ramone.

Day 1495 #CDsOnTheShelf #MusicChallenge #MusicSky #Bluegrass The Undertaken Daddies out of Whitehorse.

Day 1494 #CDsOnTheShelf #MusicChallenge #MusicSky #Bluegrass We come to the end of the T section with Dan Tyminski and dip our toes into the U's with Eric Uglam

Day 1493 #CDsOnTheShelf #MusicChallenge #MusicSky #Bluegrass A pair from Tumbleweed- yes, I do believe that is both Zubot and Dawson pictured on the cover- and a pair I don't recall. Such is how it goes- too much music, not enough memory.

Day 1492 #CDsOnTheShelf #MusicChallenge #MusicSky #Bluegrass Missed this set in the randomness of my planning. The Tidalwave Road EP is one of my favourites of the past few years.
