Continuing on, following the #CAMRA pub guide in my search for real cider...

North Bar, lots of beers on tap. Offered a Pulp cider, which I've had before and is crap. Asked if they have anything else.

"No we've only got apple cider"

😑

It's a real shame that this whole #CAMRA @camraofficial.bsky.social campaign promises to promote cider and yet I can't find a pub that's actually doing that

Should've mentioned I'm at the South Western Arms for our monthly #camra branch meeting (Southern Hampshire)

Back into the breach once more. Starting in the Sir Thomas Gerrard in Ashton 7 fest beers on offer, I require 5 of them #McSpoons Autumn Beer Festival #RealAle 🍺 #BeerResearch 📝 #cheerstobeers 🍻 #CAMRGB 🍺 #CosAlien👽 #camra 🇬🇧 #GoToThePub👍#SupportOurPubs 🤗 #cask 🍺 #BskyBeer ⛅️

Sadly only one festival beer in McSpoons Picadilly but a pint of Acorn Gorlouka a dark delight stout with liquorice note makes up for it 😀 yum 😋 #McSpoons Autumn Beer Festival #RealAle 🍺 #BeerResearch 📝 #cheerstobeers 🍻 #CAMRGB 🍺 #CosAlien👽 #camra 🇬🇧 #GoToThePub👍#SupportOurPubs 🤗 #cask 🍺 #BskyBeer

...and so it begins the #McSpoons Autumn Beer Festival and the search for all 30 beers! A good start with 5 in the Waterhouse Manchester #RealAle 🍺 #BeerResearch 📝 #cheerstobeers 🍻 #CAMRGB 🍺 #CosAlien👽 #camra 🇬🇧 #GoToThePub👍#SupportOurPubs 🤗 #cask 🍺 #BskyBeer ⛅️

Food is served here Thursday to Saturday but real ale all the time. Don't just take my word for the loveliness of this pub. Beer and travel writer Will Hawkes, in a county-wide round-up for The Telegraph, rates this hostelry the finest in the whole of Essex.

Dave Pedlar, CAMRA Kernow chairman, said: "This is a betrayal of the founders of Sharp's, the 40 people whose jobs are at risk and the locals that have supported this business for decades. #CAMRA

Maximize beer-garden weather while you can. I did recently at The Victoria Park in Bristol. Toasting this Indian summer with a pint locally sourced, but of course @camraofficial.bsky.social, from Arbor Ales.

Over at Black Swan Ale House for our first ever visit and what a fantastic addition to Belper, had Carlsberg Bass & Orkney Brewery Dragonhead Stout on Cask, very busy pub but well kept beer. Cheers all
