23- Just an incredible journey. Especially poignant reminder of his epic achievement at a time of concern over what has happened to Fiennes. #BookSky💙📚 #BooksOf2026

The Psychology Of Money by Morgan Housel

Another day, another D̶o̶l̶l̶a̶r̶ factual book.

A book about my favourite thing, P̶s̶y̶c̶h̶o̶l̶o̶g̶y̶ Money.

Very insightful, helps you get a better understanding of the world of finance.

#Booksof2026 69 - The Collapsing Empire by @scalzi.com
Fun science fiction romp where the ability of humans to travel between star systems is about to collapse.
A little bit too "1st book in a trilogy" for me.

The cover of The Collapsing Empire depicts spaceships with a weird green background.

#Booksof2026 68 - China Dreams by Sid Smith
Tom is a takeaway delivery driver and dreams constantly of China and his ex May.

The dream sections were mostly successful at portraying how they started to takeover his life; but the ending felt rushed and too neat.

#Booksof2026 67 - Agent Sonya by Ben Macintyre
The fascinating story of Ursula Kuczynski, one of the Soviet Union's most successful spies.
Macintyre knows how to put a story together and his criticisms of MI5 in the 1940s/50s are quite amusing.

Sometimes you have low expectations about a book and are pleasantly surprised; and sometimes you are not.

A joke that might have made an amusing magazine article wears thin over 200+ pages.

#Booksof2026 65 - Dragons' Wrath by Justin Richards.
Another Bernice Summerfield novel that I haven't reread since the 90s. It mostly hangs together though the ending is hectic.
Irving Braxiatel is a rather obvious stand in for The Doctor.

23rd A re-read of Roddy Doyle’s Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha. A novel told from the perspective of a 10 year old boy grappling with the delights and horrors of school, friendship and the collapse of his parents’ marriage. Miraculously convincing. #BooksOf2026

Paperback copy of Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha by Roddy Doyle. A boy in red shorts hangs by his right arm form a high wall, about to let go.
