THE BLUETONES - "Slight Return"
Im Britpop gab's wesentlich mehr (und vor allem bessere) Bands als Blur und Oasis...

Morning #BlueSky ☕️ & welcome to a chilly Isle Of Wight taken deep in the Autumn months one year. Have a calming start to the week friends ☺️ #ECK #BlueSkyMonday #Calming

Our photograph captures a quiet, atmospheric coastal scene on the Isle of Wight, taken on a cold autumn day beneath a heavy, overcast sky. A long, weathered wooden pier stretches from the lower left of the image towards the distant horizon on the right. Its sturdy supports descend into the dark, gently rippling seawater. The pier's sides are reinforced with a repeating pattern of diagonal wooden beams, creating a series of striking triangular shapes. Small, traditional lamp posts line its upper edge, adding a touch of character to the old structure. At the far end of the pier, a small pavilion or shelter stands above the water. A flag flutters nearby, suggesting a gentle coastal breeze. Beyond it, the calm sea extends towards a low, distant horizon, where the water meets the muted grey-blue sky. The sky occupies much of the photograph, filled with layers of dark, brooding clouds. Soft, diffused light filters through the cloud cover, giving the scene a cool, blue-grey colour palette that reinforces the feeling of autumnal chill and solitude. In the foreground, the tide has receded to reveal a rocky shoreline. Dark seaweed, wet stones, and patches of glistening sand cover the lower right portion of the image. The water laps quietly around the pier's wooden supports. The mood is one of quiet reflection and coastal solitude. The aged pier leads the eye towards the distant shelter and open sea, creating a sense of journey, while the cold light and restless clouds evoke the raw, peaceful beauty of an autumn day by the water. And finally, our picture today is finished with a simple white border frame.

Taking the fast track today.

I love how these cool blue tones and infinite leading lines can turn
an everyday walkway into a scene straight out of a sci-fi movie.
