The BlueskyToon points and places. The website doesn't show this simple format. The BlueskyToon League table shows that it's possible to have the top score of 451 points and still be in 32nd place! Like a reverse #MCFC

After seeing some odd numbers in the #BlueskyToon stats, I take a closer look and lo and behold, there are two players whose teams are "The Grand Touré"; Ben Warren and Gary Cassidy. So bad idea having TeamName as the PK in my DB!

The stats were updated at noon so here's the new charts. The median is still the lowest of the 5 weeks BUT I'm now below it! The Bluesky Toon League standings were not ready when I posted this.

This week's median, 44, was the lowest yet.

We have a new leader, Lleeds United (395), 21 ahead of Horni 4 Clean Sheets. NOTcastle United (160) are 83 adrift at bottom.

They haven't yet updated the League standings.

Following up on the League, there are 7 games where a single point separated the players.

Bummer for Martin eh? All those points and diddly squat to show for it.

There's a better way!

I didn't 'til I dug a bit deeper. We are randomly matched against one of the other 85 players in #BlueskyToon and win, draw or lose based on the points we gain with our squads that week. If your score is higher than your oppo's you get 3 points. If you draw you both get 1 point.

Digging around in the #FPL #BlueskyToon League uncovers an (unintended?) bias towards match wins. As the range of points scored each week is large, the likelihood of a draw in the league is low. Indeed, in the 129 head-to-heads so far, only 3 have been draws.

Odd table in #FPL. I have moved up to 70th place in the #BlueskyToon League with zero games won, lost or drawn!

On a side note, the stats I have shared here are based on actual points scored not the WLD scores.

Not my worst GW, but seriously misjudged the bench 🤦🏻‍♂️ Should have stuck with my gut in not triple captaining Haaland 😤

Some scores have been added since my last post. I needed some time to work out how to make the "leaders' label" when two (or more) teams shared first place.

Gotta give Tom credit for his stats work on the #BlueskyToon H2H #FPL!
