Swansea 26-3 Cardiff FT

Not the Rags’ night by any measure; out-kicked, out-muscled, out-refereed.

A big learning curve for a much-changed and inexperienced side in how to manage those conditions.

Write it off and move on.

Swansea 15-3 Cardiff HT

Leaving the refereeing aside it’s not been up to the required standard from Cardiff.

Lacking physicality at the gain line and being completely out-kicked.

Need to be much smarter in the second half.

#BlueAndBlacks

Assuming there’s no TMO in this live SRC game? Otherwise the Swansea 7 would have a clear red card.

#BlueAndBlacks

Here’s the Rags side to face Swansea this evening;

- Full debut for Coombes
- Harper & N. Hudd into the pack
- Lloyd back at 9
- Turner & Cummings join the back three
- Nicholls-Ngasseu, Lloyd (Penarth), Harries, Rainbird & Edwards on to the bench

Cardiff 35-12 Carmarthen FT

The slope and the wind work wonders for the Rags as they get clinical and earn the super duper bonus point.

Not a classic performance but job done against a niggly opposition in tricky conditions.

Cardiff 7-7 Carmarthen HT

A tense first half at a windy CAP with the Rags mostly camped in our own 22, but now looking to open up playing with the wind and slope.

Ebbw Vale 14-59 Cardiff FT

Waw.

A try of the season fest at EXP as the Rags go on a second half rampage for a super duper bonus point and statement win.

What a performance.

Ebbw Vale 7-12 Cardiff HT

The Rags good value for the lead but some poor game management, a try conceded and a yellow card with clock red at the end of the half changes momentum going in at the break.

#BlueAndBlacks

Here’s the Rags side to face Ebbw Vale this afternoon;

- Hudd returns as skipper
- Rees in at hooker
- Lloyd back at 9
- Lucas, ODL, Cummings & Young bolster the back line
- Big Ev & Cowell cover front row

Strong team for the tricky trip to EXP.

Cardiff 43-5 Pontypool

No Rags coverage while I was away but here was the team that took the field on Friday, and produced a blistering first half performance followed by a perfectly parked second half bus 👀

First super duper bonus point of the season!
