A Bittersweet Candybowl Fancomic. Lucy looks to her left, while a small Mike with a devil's tail sneers at her and a small Augustus with an angel's halo. Mike taunts, "Self-absorbed? Like she's any different." Augustus responds, "Leave her be. Those two have always been a pain". Mike leans forward, arm on Lucy's shoulder, "You think she's different? Everything always has to be about her. Remember the play? Or those stupid tickets? You can't do a thing without her butting in." Augustus leans in response, "Don't make a big deal out of this. You know she's doing her best. She's been nothing but friendly." Mike reaches a hand out, his expression unamused, "Because she wants something, they all do. And when they don't get it, they'll discard us." Augustus's panel is noticeably smaller, "She wouldn't, she's a good friend". Mike puts a hand on his chest, looking annoyed, "She was my friend too, and where did that leave me? She never cares when it matters." Augustus looks away, visually cramped in a small panel. Mike is yelling, "None of them EVER do! 'Lucy or Mike?' It doesn't matter! We're NOTHING to them!" His design shifts from the modern blues to the reds and hatchwork of the chapter Confrontation. The background shifts to a dark, starry sky. "They abandoned us the moment we needed them! Just like they did that night! And you're going to let her act like she's better than that?" Lucy looks right at Mike, then shoots a glare left. Sue is pictured, unaware, while angry red splotches surround her.
