Red Knots in Flight

Just some of the 25,000 birds in the flock(s). But they were straight overhead showing their bellies, and the different stages of winter plumage.

A Small Selection of the Oystercatchers at Snettisham

About a few hundred Oystercatchers are sitting, sleeping, and walking around on a bank. Some are foraging at the shore.

Redshank Strolling On The Mud

This lovely bird was mooching about white close by on the mudflat at Brancaster Staithe. Picking through the puddles and mud to find something to eat.

Green Sandpiper Stalking

These birds forage on shorelines, probing the mud with their long beaks. They're not too disilimar from Common Sandpipers, which are interestingly less common.

Juvenile Reed Bunting in the Reeds

Not as rare as the Bearded Tit, it's still not easy to find these in a reasonably easy situation to take a photo of. The light isn't quite perfect, but I still like it.

Bearded Tit in the Norfolk reeds.

I've heard a Bearded Tit a few times, but had not seen one before, and certainly didn't have the change to take a photo. It's not the greatest, so will need to try again.
