IKEA #Bilresa scroll wheel in #HomeAssistant is weird 🥸

I can see why there’s specific blueprints for it - separate “buttons” for left, right, and click; then multiplied by 3 for the different modes…

I assume it’s a #Matter limitation? No concept of “scroll” in the standard?

Ich finde Smart-Home ja irgendwie lustig. Ich hätte nie gedacht mal bei einem Schalter oder einer "Glühbirne" ein Softwareupdate zu machen.

Just got an #IKEA #Bilresa button to play with, and on initial setup it seems to play really nicely with #HomeAssistant 🙂

Sets up first time, handles single, double, and hold across both buttons fine, and even does its firmware update via the native HA #Matter FW service without any additional […]
