Here's Sakarys and Karakuri, the antagonists from the start of my new Animorphs ttrpg campaign! They're super messed up alien scientists, and stole the invention of the campaign's player character.

Scheduling becomes the true BBEG!

#dnd #ttrpg #bbeg

Four-panel Lord of the Rings meme titled "ORGANIZING AN RPG SESSION." Gandalf says, "Okay great, we play on the 5th." Aragorn responds, "You have my sword." Legolas follows, "And you have my bow." Instead of his classic line, Gimli deadpans, "The 5th isn't great for me."

The Broken stands tall, weary yet resolute, against the monochrome that she has forced upon her featureless, barren domain. Her emotion only fully shows in the roiling mass of shadow below that her body deforms into, only lightly marred by the cracks above. Her blinding wings and diadem impose an image of power and authority, a distraction from her shattered visage that she can't conceal. In one hand she barely grasps the simple blade that allowed her to reach this point, while her other tightly holds onto the necklace of the lover she killed. Upon which hangs their wedding rings, rings that were never allowed to sit on their fingers truly.Closeup portrait view of the Broken, framed by her blinding wings and void black hair. She maintains a veneer of neutrality, no emotion. While rage and desire roil beneath, barely contained. The wedding rings of the Broken and the Specter. One golden, the other a stark blue silver in the radiance. The only splash of color in the Broken's private domain. Of her two hands, this powerless pair of objects is the only one she grasps tightly, while the blade holding the mantles of five deities is an afterthought.

Finished this, took a bit longer to emphasize the contrast and make it particularly glow-y.

I've decided to only start tagging her as a vampire. As it's also a perfect descriptor, narratively.

More #WIP art of The #Broken.

I had named her The #Conqueror, but by this point, in all of her power, that's all she is—

Broken, too much of a coward to pick up the pieces.

Power cannot fill the void.

In progress sketch of The Broken, standing tall and framed by her blinding six wings and simple spiked diadem. A mockery of even the Evil she had destroyed, but far more-so of the noble Gods of Life and Death that fell to her teeth. Cracks are not yet added, she is fully shadowed, except for the thin white indications that she has any shape beneath the darkness at all. She lightly wields the blade that first allowed her to drag a Power out of the sky, Godsbane. A weapon who's thirst for the death of the divine has long since been overtaken by her own unyielding will. A weapon that her search for still caused undue suffering to the one she loved, even on the path that gives her proper happiness in the end. Closeup of The Broken's face, weary, but resolute in her delusional path.
