Fabulous telly. On BBC iPlayer and BBC Four HD. Just watched first episode. Narrated by the late Sam Neill. Amazing photography.
Highly recommended.

Watching BBC young musician of the year last night and a reminder that within the UK cultural excellence continues to exist. A joy to witness the talent and dedication of youngsters that we can be proud of.

I am almost through
Watching Die Hard 2
For the 38th time
I would go insane
On a burning plane
I gotta block out most of the pain, just like John McClane does
I wanna look myself in the eye, and be a normal guy
And say some cleverish shit when I’m about to die

I watched #TheWickerMan (1973) back in the early 90s on TV (I was way too young to watch it) and remember wondering why it looked so bad.
Watching it on #BBCFOUR at the mo and thinking how amazing it looks now. You can watch it on #BBCiPlayer as well: www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...
Play for Today: Schmoedipus
was a strange but good script by Dennis Potter, as expected. Anna Cropper, Tim Curry, John Carson & Bob Hoskins all gave very good performances. Sadly Carol MacReady, who was also very good, may be the only surviving member of the cast. #BBCFour
Pick: 'Schmoedipus' is on #BBCFour at 2200.
Okay, so this is a cheaty one; I've not actually seen this… at least, not in this original Play For Today form (only the later theatrical film rendition). The BBC are pulling it out for a rare airing, the first since '74; I assume in honour of Tim Curry.
