@mangelsdogtraining.bsky.socialCoco is a very fearful Poodle mix that Mary is helping learn to be more comfortable and confident.
We have also been helping her build a healthy curiosity about the world around her.
She has built up enough trust with Mary to lie down near her, which is big progress for Coco!
@mangelsdogtraining.bsky.socialCostumes, decorations, and all the changes around the neighborhood can be challenging for some dogs.
If your dog doesn’t enjoy dressing up, skip the costume and try a festive collar, bandana, or bow tie instead.
Never force them to approach something they’re afraid of.
@mangelsdogtraining.bsky.socialWant to work on more than one skill? Package options are available too!

@mangelsdogtraining.bsky.socialTraining with food won’t automatically make your dog gain weight, and it won’t spoil them.
Food is communication. It helps your dog understand what worked and makes them more likely to repeat that behavior in the future.

@mangelsdogtraining.bsky.socialIt may seem like the holidays are far away, but they’ll be here before you know it!
If you’re heading out of town for the holidays without your dog, now is the time to start looking for a pet sitter.

@mangelsdogtraining.bsky.socialGemini is well on his way to becoming a therapy dog in training!
His owner is working in Animal-Assisted Therapy for children and intends for Gemini to be one of the animal assistants in her program!
I am so proud of his progress!
