This #babyquilt top is finished and just needs sandwiched and quilted. I think I'll try #handquilting for the first time ever.... Around each shape.... With #aurifil marrakech thread? #opinionsplease (PS I'm super proud of how this one turned out! Every corner meets within a thread of perfect 👌🏻)

A tetris INSPIRED quilt top lays in the floor. Red, yellow, orange, green, light blue, dark blue with construction vehicles and traffic signs on it... All tessellated to fit together without the same color touching itself. Every corner coming to meet the next visually perfectly (unless you get within inches and there are a few that are a thread or two off). Truly a quilt top I'm proud of. This will be quilted around each shape.

Here is where I am with the newest scrappy baby quilt. There will be sashing in between them to break up the busy blocks. And I still have the second half of the scrap strip to use. #quilt #quilting #quiltsky #scrappyquilt #babyquilt #benitamakes

I think I might have gotten a wrong color. One gray is very green. Third kitten of six. #embroidery #herschnerrs #babyquilt #blockquilt

I've cut all the squares to make the #colorful #design you see on the right. Is the #layout perfect? No, but it doesn't have the same color touching itself anywhere which was the #goal. This will be a #babyquilt. I'm also gonna do a #triparoundtheworld using the same #fabrics. 💕
#alttextavailable

With my green cutting mat as the background, you see before you a "rainbow" of cut fabric squares. Red on the left, followed in an arch of orange, yellow, green, light blue, and ending in dark blue with construction vehicles, hedges, and traffic signs. Below the fabric arch is my rotary cutter.

This is a photo of graph paper showing the placement / layout of the fabrics from the other photo. Mostly L shapes made of squares make up this design (four single squares at the corners and two sets of paired squares - one top center and one bottom center, and one 2x2 center square) this design is for a baby quilt. The dark blue is for the construction vehicle fabric, then the rest of them are color coordinated.

My first baby blanket for donation. The top is pieces I picked up at the last fabric swap at my quilt guild meeting, combined with free batting and binding, backing from a 5 yd coup from Goodwill, and the remainder of several spools of pink thread. It was fun to make! #quiltsky #babyquilt

I finished the Star Trek Astronaut quilt a few minutes ago. Tomorrow I will wash it and take a picture of it on my porch. I think it turned out nice. There is a couple of oopsies but that just makes it special. #StarTrek #quilting #Astronaut #babyquilt

It took most of the day but the Star Trek baby quilt top is built. In a couple of days when the batting and backing come in I will start handquilting. #quilting #startrek #astronaut #babyquilt #gift
