#Avatober2026 Flight isn't common in the eastern cold.

Ikran hate it, and the wind traders can't stay aloft. The largest flying vertebrate is the muducks, which migrate spire-to-spire like the Na'vi. Kids are taught to follow muducks if they're ever lost in the open desert.

#Avatober2026 Masks are more than fashion in the cold. They help prevent frostbite. Beyond clothing, bright masks help members spot each other in white-out conditions. Small eye slits/holes prevent snow blindness.

#Avatober2026 RDA tek is unwelcome in the cold desert. The locals quickly learned how to use fuel tanks against the invading force. Now, if the RDA lingers around a thermal spire too long? They'll never make it back to base.

#Avatober2026 A ritual Battle between two warriors. They strip in the cold and fight. Whoever can stay outside fighting the longest wins. The battle can be used to solve petty squabbles or to help decide a leader. It's possible to get deadly frostbite if you're too stubborn!

#Avatober2026 Weapons in the cold desert. A spear with a spring-loaded end! Hunters lay deadly traps and wait nearby. If the trap catches nothing, they dismantle the trap and try again later. If they make a catch, either the trap kills the prey, or the hunter finishes it off.

#Avatober2026 Fanclan Silt Strider Makto.
Striders are friendly by nature and will lean down to eat offered food. Na'vi lure them out of the deep & hot mud with food and songs before hopping on for a ride across the dangerous silt.

#Avatober2026 Fire with my Fanclan.
In the western cold, a young teen tells kittens about the monster that lurks in blizzards. Scary tales carry an important lesson attached... Stay with the group, and never wander. Stories keep the kids entertained as they stay warm.
