At the end of Sept I spent just over 10 days in Sydney with work, my first visit to Australia. Whilst it was a work trip, I made sure I did some birding! A visit to Stafford Farm Track south of Sydney got me off to good start, finishing with a seawatch off Manly #wildoz #Australianbirds #birds

Tawny frogmouth & chick. The local council has been clearing willows from the rivulet, but has left this one which has a tawny frogmouth nest. Frogmouths are usually hard to see, but the chick hasn't quite worked out the 'being still' bit.
