Most detections in #AusFlu2026 are FluA; mostly the A/H3N2 subtype. But A/H1N1 has been rising (see previous posts)

#AusFlu2026 started rising in June, similar to pre-pandemic patterns, with a #flu rise that peaks around August (the red shaded area reflects typical historical timing).

🦠September appears to be the peak of #AusFlu2026.
In the ~35 days since my last update (07SEPT), detections have risen by 78,845. That's a daily rate of 2,253, down from 05SEPT, for example.
