So just finished the #astarionnovel today.

The Paladin arrived 80 pages left in the novel and it felt like a self-insert worse than Bella Swan.

Which reminds me, I need to get back to Twilight again.

But yeah. It’s something.

So I got to the introduction of the paladin in the #astarionnovel.

He has main character syndrome. Which he is a Lathandir paladin…

Despite this is a novel based on Astarion instead. Someone forgot to do what they supposed to do.

Book is ok. But yeah, hard on for the paladin.

I've got my hands on the Astarion novel and my initial impression is that this is going to go quick.

I'm 25% in already and so far it's not terrible. Astarion is Astarion and that's to expectations. Loving the parts with him as a kid. His parents are a mess.

I finished the #astarionnovel yesterday and I’m still letting most of my thoughts on it cook, but I do want to put this out there:

With the stuff that’s going on in the news right now, I think it’s okay that the author didn’t delve too much into the torture and trauma. 🤷‍♀️
