Recently I've learned how isolating the #asexuality spectrum is.

I thought being demi meant I'd be fine, but most gay men are _obsessed_ with adult stuff - it feels as if they basically never talk about anything else.

To me, unless it's about my partner, it's like they're fascinated with sneezing.

The last one has a white tick over it).Ace respondents were asked if they were diagnosed, either professionally or by themselves, with a mental or physical health condition. 36.1% of ace respondents reported having been professionally diagnosed with anxiety, which was the most commonly reported of all diagnoses. 30.2% reported having been professionally diagnosed with a depressive disorder. The next most commonly reported professional diagnoses for ace respondents were ADHD or ADD (17.8%) and autism spectrum (12.9%). Notably, ADHD or ADD and autism spectrum also had the highest percentages of ace respondents who were unsure if a diagnosis applied to them (21.6% and 23.9%, respectively). 10.5% ace respondents had been professionally diagnosed with PTSD, with another 7.3% who self-diagnosed with PTSD. 5.3% of ace respondents were professionally diagnosed with OCD, and 10.0% were unsure if an OCD diagnosis applied to them. 4.5% had been professionally diagnosed with an eating disorder. 7.0% had self-diagnosed with an eating disorder and 8.1% were unsure if an eating disorder diagnosis applied to them. A small percentage of ace respondents had been professionally diagnosed with a personality disorder (2.4%), behavioral addiction (1.1%), DID, (1.1%), psychotic disorder (0.7%), or substance-related addiction (0.6%). Small percentages of ace respondents had been professionally diagnosed with hypertension / high blood pressure (4.6%), high cholesterol (6.4%), or diabetes (2.2%). Few ace respondents (0.1%) had been professionally diagnosed with hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) or sexual interest/around disorder (SI/AD). An additional 0.8% were self-diagnosed, and 4.9% were unsure if HSDD or SI/AD applied to them.

I don't really get this whole "consent is sexy" thing. For what it's worth, I don't care if it is or isn't sexy, consent is consent. I wouldn't care if it was the least "sexy" thing in all the world, two people still need to agree to a consenting encounter, together.

Fewer than one in 20 ace respondents lived in Italy (3.4%), France (2.4%), Australia (2.3%), the Netherlands (2.0%), Spain (1.9%), Poland (1.7%), Brazil (1.4%), Finland (1.3%), or Hungary (1.2%). An additional 14.5% of ace respondents lived in other countriesBy continent, close to half of ace respondents (48.4%) lived in Northern America, and four in ten lived in Europe (40.5%). About one in 20 ace respondents lived in Latin America and the Caribbean (4.7%), 3.0% lived in Oceania, 3.0% lived in Asia, and only 0.3% lived in Africa. Continents are defined in accordance with the United Nations (United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, Statistics Division, n.d.).To balance the effect of more populous countries producing higher numbers of respondents, the following table shows the number of ace survey respondents per one million inhabitants in each country. For example, there were 18.5 aces who completed the 2024 Survey for every one million inhabitants of Finland.

About one in four participated in their early twenties (21.6%), roughly one in six in their early teens (15.1%), and one in eight in their late twenties (12.5%). Although the majority of aces participated between the ages of 10 and 30, there are ace respondents who first participated in an ace community after 30: 6.9% between 30 and 34 years old, 4.0% between 35 and 39 years old, 2.0% between 40 and 44 years old, 1.6% between 45 and 49 years old, 0.7% between 50 and 54 years old, 0.3% between 55 and 59 years old, and 0.2% over 60 years old. A smaller fraction of ace respondents (0.1%) first participated in an ace community when they were between 5 and 9 years old.
