Day 12 and 13 - Splatter and Rain 🌧️ I wanted to try something a bit different with this one - I took the idea of the fish-like water from Ponyo, and put it in water droplet form. I loved the idea of this little living world at water droplet scale. #artoberwithkalila #artchallenge #rain #markerart

Day 11 Botany - I don’t draw people very often, but I was really inspired by a reference image I saw of a plant. It looked like there was a man inside of it, and as I began to draw it out, a story began to emerge. #botany #artoberwithkalila #artchallenge #characterconcept #drawingchallenge

Day 10 Deep! I made a bookmark out of this one. It was a fun step out of the norm for paper size, I’d like to do it with at least one more of these. #deep #artoberwithkalila #artchallenge #creatureart #bookmarkart

Day 8 & 9 Stars and Amphibian - May have gotten carried away with this one 😅 but learned a lot and really enjoyed it #artoberwithkalila #artchallenge #mixedmediaart #creatureart

Another combo piece! Day 6 Wriggle + Day 7 Bottle ⚡️keeping track of all the eels bodies and making the lightning were the most fun parts of this one. 😊 #lightninginabottle #artoberwithkalila #artoberwithkalila2026 #artchallenge #creatureart

Day 5 - Cavern! I tried something a bit different for this one. Colored pencil on black paper. It’s was a fun experiment - I’d like to do it again for another prompt and see how it goes too. What do you guys think? #cavern #artoberwithkalila #drawingchallenge #coloredpencil_art #environmentart

Day 4 Fangs - I had fun with the gold again, and my grey marker does part way through so I subbed in my bluish green one 😅 - the pose was challenging, but it was a lot of fun! #fangs #artoberwithkalila #drawingchallenge #creatureart #artober

A combo piece! 😀 I know I’m not behind yet, but I couldn’t help myself, I had too much fun mixing these 2 ideas. Say hello to Day 2 Carcass + Day 3 Rotten. I’m very happy with how this one came out too. 😊 #rotten #carcass #creatureart #artoberwithkalila #drawingchallenge

Artober Day 1 complete! 😀 This was my creation for “Bloom”. I’m really happy with how it came out. Hope you all like it! Looking forward to seeing your creations too! #artoberwithkalila #artober2026 #drawingchallenge #bloom #creaturedesign
