Day 10 #tolkientober "Entwives"

No one will convince my Ellothion that his friend is 'just an apple tree'. Of course not. Honeybracht is just a sleeping Enting. His mother couldn't hear him and wake him up, so that's why she couldn't find him!

Sketch. father with small son on his shoulders in a blooming orchard. Boy looking up speaking: “Ada? Do you think Honeybracht remembers his Naneth? If he was a sapling and not a seed, will he know how to find her when he wakes up? If he's an actual piece of her? Like...how turtles always know where to come back to to have their babies because they remember the place they were born? And if he's a part of her, doesn't that mean she's his place?”
