Soviet Brutalist Pool Cross-Section Drawing
#BrutalistArchitecture #ArchitecturalDrawing #SovietDesign #AIArt

A detailed architectural cross-section drawing of the Olympic Water Stadium (Олимпийский Водный Стадион) for the USSR, labeled as project sheet T-10. The hand-rendered technical illustration depicts a symmetrical cutaway view of a large aquatic facility, rendered primarily in pencil with selective color accents in gold/yellow highlighting structural roof elements and brown tones outlining key building components. The dramatic roof structure features a series of angular, wing-like forms that sweep upward from a central point, creating a bold, expressive silhouette. Below the roof, tiered spectator seating rises on both sides of a rectangular swimming pool rendered in light blue, which serves as the compositional centerpiece. The cross-section reveals underground mechanical and utility spaces beneath the pool deck, supported by concrete pillar foundations. Dimension annotations in Cyrillic and numerical measurements border the drawing on all sides, indicating precise measurements including a total width of 19,300 units and various height measurements. Labels in Russian identify specific areas including mechanical rooms, ventilation spaces, and structural elements. The title block in the lower right corner identifies this as a project by the Лавмонога конекция (Lavmonoga connection) for the USSR, with sheet reference P-1. The aged cream-colored paper and meticulous draftsmanship reflect the formal Soviet-era architectural documentation style.

#ArchitecturalDrawing #BrutalistDesign #TechnicalArt #AIArt

# Alt Text Architectural cross-section drawing (Cross Section A-A, Scale 1:100) of a multi-story library building rendered in blue-gray tones on a light steel-blue background. The detailed technical illustration shows seven levels (Level 1 through Level 7) plus roof, with grid reference columns labeled A through G. The cutaway view reveals the building's interior layout from ground floor to rooftop. Key spaces visible include: - **Ground floor (Level 1):** Entrance lobbies and circulation areas - **Lower levels:** Main Reading & Stacks area, Main Atrium spanning multiple floors - **Mid levels (Levels 3-5):** Bookshelves lining both wings, Mezzanine floor, reinforced concrete slabs - **Upper levels (Levels 6-7):** Cantilevered Reading Room projecting dramatically, HVAC mechanical systems - **Left side:** Stairwell void with prominent cascading staircases - **Center:** Tall glazed atrium with aggregate void Structural details show elevator shaft, reinforced concrete construction, and rooftop mechanical equipment including ductwork and HVAC units. Dimension markings run along the left side (0m to approximately 35m height) and bottom (total width approximately 42m). The drawing uses fine line work with hatching patterns to distinguish materials like concrete, masonry, and glazing.
