#WilliamOptics 70mm refractor #SonyA7iii 100x30 sec. My focus was off, I needed a field flattener + the thin cloud made everything even mushier. But it's definitely #M31 and its companion galaxies despite its many flaws!
@salardongde.bsky.socialI'm deeply honored DIFF Shorts (by Oscar-qualifying Dallas International Film Fest) selected "I Don't Know"! 🙏

@retiredotosan.bsky.social退職お父さんだよ。

@earthskyscience.bsky.socialEarthSky's Marcy Curran in Cheyenne, Wyoming, captured this beautiful image of a galaxy not so far, far away ... the #AndromedaGalaxy! It's only about 2 million light-years away. Thank you, Marcy! 📸🌌 #astronomy

@sibealmccoy.bsky.social@marymcintyreastro.bsky.social#ExtragalacticNova #AT2026aabo in #M31 the #AndromedaGalaxy 08/09/26 #SonyA7iii on an Untracked Dobsonian telescope. 100 x 0.4sec at ISO-64000. At mag +15 it's just on the edge of resolution! Thanks to my husband for helping me to find this faint blob in my image
@mist-sha.bsky.socialFinished up the planned time for Andromeda Galaxy. It ended up being 10 and a half hours of usable subframes, but I started working on this capture in July. Stacked in Dwarflab megastack, primary edits in Pixinsight, final adjustment in Snapseed.
