Here is how the Unofficial Championship could travel over the next few weeks!

Perth will have to wait until November to bring the title home again, whilst Newcastle, who had the longest streak as champions last year, could potentially grab the title next week. #ALM #ALeague

A graphic showing the scenarios for the Unofficial A-League Men Championship.

If Macarthur win, Newcastle v Macarthur next week, and then Newcastle v Wellington or Macarthur v Western Sydney the week after.

If Perth retain, Brisbane v Perth next week, and Brisbane v Auckland or Perth v Adelaide the week after.

Here’s how far away your team is from competing for the Unofficial Championship! Most teams will get a glimpse by Round 3, but Sydney and Brisbane have to wait at least until Round 5 for potential action #ALM #ALeague

A graphic showing the earliest each team could play for the Unofficial A-League Men Championship.

Perth are current champions, so will look to retain it this week when they play Macarthur

Round 2 could see Brisbane (if Perth win) or Newcastle (if Macarthur win) fight for the title

Round 3 could see Adelaide, Auckland, Wellington or Western Sydney

Round 4 could see Melbourne City or Melbourne Victory

and Round 5 Central Coast or Sydney
