It is time to start my farewell to Belle and her Coy. I only have one or two more videos and very few still shots left of them. The last time we saw them close up was night three.I’m really grateful for all the pictures I have of these two

Keep Trying Belle
•
Belle had an eye for the fish, but couldn’t quite get the catch. It was hard to watch her try and not succeed. I was sad I wasn’t able to be there to watch her a bit later in the season when the salmon ran heavy.

Battle for the Fish
•
Mama Belle battled hard for the fish, but the other bear won out. If you look closely, the other bear is so proud of her catch, she decides to poop on her way out to the beach to eat it. 🤣

Still Shot Friday — Baby Fox 🦊
•
Three moments from our Day 3 morning at the fox den: a quiet portrait, a beautiful connection, and one very big yawn. Sometimes a few still photographs tell the whole little story.

Kisses

A little kiss for Mama. 💕
Among all the excitement of fishing and exploring, it was these tender moments that quietly stole my heart.

Friday Recap and Stills
It’s been a busy day for our bears on Katmai. To recap I’ve chosen these three shots for the gallery. First, a break from fishing. Then a little love for Mama. And then warning stance.
