I met a coworker a year ago. He was so proud that he was working on an AI project to eliminate 20 jobs.
He got the news this morning that due to this work, the company is sending all the work his department did to another country. He's been offered a nice severance package.

Google Gemini AI overview answer of me asking what NFL teams have a bye in Week 5. The NFL has 32 teams. It is mathematically impossible for only one team (or any odd number) to be on a bye as that leaves 31 teams playing, and with two teams per game, that means someone else is without an opponent. The Carolina Panthers are also off in week 5. A very simple answer that this supposedly life changing AI technology choked on and probably burned three times the electricity to deliver.
