#2000sSongsChampionship Went into some (radio friendly) Nu Metal sounds in round 2 last night. It got pretty rowdy in the mosh pit, but In the End.... "Last Resort" by Papa Roach solidified its spot in the Round of 64. Where will we venture next week? Keep it here to find out! #2000s #Music

#2000sSongsChampionship A very cozy time was had parsing out the soft cuts of our first bracket last night. Jack Johnson made a run after some disappointing early exits, but Feist outlasted them all. Count her in for the big bracket as "1234" takes a spot. Close exciting battles around!

#2000sSongsChampionship We are gonna start pretty ez goin tonight with the Cozy Corner Conference. Bring your favorite blanket and mug of cocoa... but be ready to ditch it cause bracket 2 is a NU METAL mosh pit. The stream starts tonight at 8:30 PT! Be there to vote your favorite songs through!

#2000sSongsChampionship With Seven Nation Army safely in, the Darkness enveloped this bracket, a mix of bands with a throwback sound. "I Believe In a Thing Called Love" had the most juice in a high octane competition. We will continue tonight, but start with a more relaxing vibe. #BlanketBracket

#2000sSongsChampionship MORE TONIGHT, but first let's recap what happened last time. West Coast Shit was mostly a showdown between the various iconic tracks from Dr. Dre 2001. "Next Episode" won and I hit the "Smoke Weed Every Day" part perfect on the stream. Could be all three progress through.

#2000sSongsChampionship Returns TONIGHT with a monster conference- West Coast Rap. We will then go into another huge bracket- Throwback Rock (White Stripes, Wolfmother, etc.). The tunes are gonna be LOUD and IN YOUR FACE. Come through to vote your favorites through tonight! 8:30 PT #2000s #Music

#2000sSongsChampionship The Guyliner Conference featured various bands that get so emo they scream and shout a lot. I enjoyed the rowdiness of this bunch and the pop punk stylings of Something Corporate, but My Chemical Romance's opus "Welcome to the Black Parade" took its rightful spot in the 64.

#2000sSongsChampionship Went to the dance floor at the NYE 2010 party with our first bracket last night. Britney cracked that whip, but this one came down to an epic battle between Miley and Gaga with Black Eyed Peas comfortably through. "Bad Romance" took the automatic spot in the 64.

#2000sSongsChampionship Partying like its NYE 2010 tonight with Dance bangers from '09 then applying our Guy-liner and disappearing in our bangs for some Emo Rock. The fun starts at 8:30 PT tonight. Be there to VOTE for your favorites! Feel the eclecticness!! #PartyTime #NoOneUnderstandsMyPain

#2000sSongsChampionship For the 2nd bracket Tuesday, we flipped over to VH1 to catch some easy to digest soft rock type fare. Michelle Branch emerged over the likes of Train, Madonna, and Nelly Furtado, getting here debut single "Everywhere" into the Big Dance. More action comin... Monday night!

#2000sSongsChampionship Tuesday night we sorted the F*ck Conference which featured one of the more bizarre chapters in the 2000s. Shout out Eamon. Justin scored a place in the 64 with an assist from Timbaland, with "Cry Me a River". Big feelings after breakups were a theme for this bracket. #FURB

#2000sSongsChampionship Wrapping up the last show before last night, we had an Epic Alternative bracket featuring songs from '06 and '07. This one was up for grabs when the Knights were immediately felled. The Killers took it with their opening single off the Sam's Town record "When You Were Young"

#2000sSongsChampionship Tonight we return with R&B jamz from the early to mid portion of the decade. Then we see what type of lukewarm fare VH1 was serving up. A couple fun ones tonight! Hope to see you there to VOTE on your favorites to go through. #BattleOftheSexes #VideoHits

#2000sSongsChampionship We had more rappin' with the Air Force One Bracket, by far the deepest conference so far. Lack of appreciation for "Welcome to Atlanta" was tuff. No such lack for Missy Elliot, who swerved past already-in-the-64 jams by Em and 50 to put "Get Your Freak On" in the Big Dance.

#2000sSongsChampionship Back tonight as soon as the 🏈 is over. We're doin the Air Force One Conference with more rap tunez from the '02 about times. We're then gonna check out more Epic Alt Rock in the 2nd bracket. Hope you'll come on twitch and VOTE for your favorites! Some real contenders tonight!

#2000sSongsChampionship We also went into Pop Punk sounds of the early #2000s with the Dickie Shorts Bracket. Sum 41 grabbed it with "Fat Lip" an all-time epic banger IMO. The Blink 182 Hater Society was out in force. Tough scenes for the Kings of the genre. Great to see B-town's MxPx get some love.

#2000sSongsChampionship 'Murica Bracket. First of (many?) country brackets for this competition after only one country bracket in the 90s. I was hoping for a little more enthusiasm for the Chicks. In the end, the very solid pop ballad "Breathe" earns Faith Hill a spot in the 64 song tourney. #Murica

#2000sSongsChampionship TONIGHT! We're starting with the Murica Conference Tournament. Country music twang gonna lead off the festivities. The Dickie Shorts bracket will be 2nd, where we suss out the best of early #2000s Pop Punk tracks. Hope you can be there to VOTE! Stream starts at 8:30 PT!!
