Your vacuum cleaner likely stopped working because it overheated from a blockage, lost its power supply, or filled its dust container. Common Causes and Fixes Overheating: Blocked airflow makes the motor work harder and heat up. Most units have a thermal safety switch that shuts them off automatically. Unplug the vacuum and let it cool for 30 to 60 minutes before trying to turn it on again. Clogs and Blockages: Debris in the hose, wand, or floor nozzle restricts air and triggers a shutdown. Check and clear the hose, wash or replace dirty filters, and empty a full dustbin or bag. Power Issues: A tripped circuit breaker, a blown outlet, a loose plug, or a frayed power cord can cut electricity instantly. Test the wall outlet with another device to verify it works. Brush Roll Jam: Tangled hair, string, or thick threads can bind up the roller brush and overload the motor. Clean out the brush roll area completely. Battery Depletion: Cordless models shut down immediately when the battery dies or if the battery connection becomes loose. Place it back on its charging dock to check for a charging light.
