Wish the #Mets would do use #MetsSky fans a favor and post things like this here as well and not force us to go to The Bad Place for this kind of content.

Mets fans are often tortured. Last week at Citi Field former #Mets star Pete Alonso returned to Queens as an #orioles player and was able to cause Mets fans to boo their own pitcher and then get a curtain call after he hit a game-tying save-busting 9th inning home run in the 2nd game of the series

In 1985, Vince Coleman of the #Cardinals broke the #MLB rookie record with 110 stolen bases. Mike Griffin (97) set the old record in 1887. Nobody else in the 1900s passed 75. The A's Esteury Ruiz (67, 2023) has the most since Coleman. #Mets A.J. Ewing (24) of leads 2026 rookies.

Happy Birthday to 2012 #Bisons manager Wally Backman. He hit .275 in 14 major-league seasons and was a World Series Champion with the 1986 #Mets.

The Mets were swept by Baltimore before salvaging a four-game split with Philadelphia during their final week at Citi Field. #mets #newyork #LGM

Well here we go. Final week of a miserable season. But no matter, I will miss baseball everyday until next spring. Let’s Go Mets!

Two games that sorta matter today sorta help White Sox (Orioles win/Blue Jays have a long-shot chance for the #3 Wild Card) and the #Mets (Nats lose/they are fighting for fourth place).

Nats down 9-0.

Texas series will matter in determining the AL Central.

Nats finale series can determine who will be in the NL East cellar. Important September baseball! #Mets

Cohen's plan for "new voices" in the front office is an indictment of Stearn.

Prediction: Green becomes GM, Stearns is still "President of Baseball Operations" but is sent down the hall to play with his spreadsheets.

Tigers with an early lead vs. the Nats, who are ahead of the #Mets in the standings. Verlander is due to start at the end of the week. He had ONE start this year.

How many games will the Mets win this week? 🤔 #mets #newyork #LGM

As pre-teen, Roy McMillan was my first favorite Mets player. Why? Because he wore eyeglasses, and l had just started wearing glasses. He gave me hope that l could still be a big league player! 😉 💙🧡⚾️

Blue Jays & Padres settle into top 12, Twins drop even further. #mets #newyork #LGM

The Mets were way back in the pack at the trade deadline but then found another gear. They couldn't close for the win, but at least they made the final weekend interesting. #mets #newyork #LGM
