A photo of a juvenile Cooper's hawk (Astur cooperii) perched on the flat top of a cut off tree stump, its wings held partially out, tail up, and feathers floofed out while it gazes upward with its beak slightly open. It's a medium-sized hawk with a dark brown upper body, streaky brown and tan breast & belly, striped tail, smalled hooked beak, and pale irises. A rat's tail is just visible hanging over the edge of the stump behind the hawk. The background is a blurred shady forest setting.

A Dunnock perched on an Elder branch at the edge of the forest. The bird is centre of frame, in side profile looking left so its left side is visible. Its head is turned slightly towards the camera. It has a slender bill, its head has a bluish grey which continues to the upper breast. The rest of its plumage is a rich brown with bold black streaks throughout. The branch the bird is perched on is bare and travels from the bottom left of the frame to almost the top right. Another branch can be seen at the same angle in the top left and there are smaller branches throughout the shot. The background is out of focus greens

It's a light brown from the crown of its head across its back and wing to its tail. Its chin to the bottom of its belly is a lovely yellow. There is just a hint of white above its black mask. The background is foliage and branches.
