Two-page spread. Image on the left page is of a street mural in London, UK. Head and shoulders of a woman crying black tears, a tattoo on one shoulder and a raven on the other. The following poem on the right page.

She pulls clothes, plastic flowers,
a sock monkey out of her bag,
sets them aside in the studio.
I click off a few shots. Turning
to the camera, she holds
a comb to her hair. A notepad
to her chest.
"This represents
my first achievement and
my last achievement. I learned
to part my hair when I was four,
and this is the suicide note I wrote
yesterday."
Stunned,
I lower the camera, but she pleads,
"Keep shooting. Just
keep shooting."

Cannon Beach. Sunset. Dark sand turning wet and illuminated, dark ocean, layers of orange-red-turquoise-purplish sky and clouds.
