A deep blue sky with puffy clouds. We are a few feet away from a rustic post and wire fenceline separating us from a pasture. The pasture is overgrown with a tight mass of leafy plants between 2 and 3 feet tall, the fenceline is liberally strewn with wildflowers. Much of the floral display consists of bright yellow goldenrod. A single small tree is just beyond the fence to our left, several very large trees tower above the far edge of the field to our right. Strips of forest hide most of the remainder of the farm from our view. Through a gap in the trees just to the left of the large trees, we can see a distant field and a glimpse of a farmhouse.
