A black saddlebags dragonfly. It is facing up and appears to be on a rock wall or cement sidewalk. The dragonfly has a brown head and thorax, which has a couple of small white stripes on the side. Its wings are clear with a little veining and black spots at the tip of each wing. They are almost invisible due to the background in this photo. The lower wing has large black splotches next to the abdomen. The abdomen is black with some light brown spots on it. There are also two white markings just below the thorax.
