Someone at #Worldcon unfamiliar with the general vibe of @scalzi.com’s famous dance party perked up wht excitement when I mentioned he was DJing.

“Oh wow! Like EDM?”

I laughed but tbh I’d kind of love seeing Scalzi go full Acidcat EDM scene kid fever dream?

Tried to watch another academic track panel #worldcon #replay but the recording starts late and the speaker yet again was not actually addressing the microphone. I tried to watch "Anarchy in Fantasy Worlds" but it was equally inaudible.

Bennett adds an anecdote about grocery stores in 2020-21 being unable to stock their shelves because there were no pallets, because there weren't enough fasteners (screws) to assemble them. (I don't remember hearing this one but it doesn't seem implausible.) #worldcon #lacon #replay
