Tanya Pretswell at #TUC2026 calling for urgent reform of NHS pay.
It’s time to ditch the discredited Pay Review Body, negotiate directly with unions and deliver fair pay for NHS workers. ✊

All women and girls deserve to live a life free from violence and abuse.

"Every worker should be entitled to be covered by a collective agreement, and this is only achieved by reintroducing sector wide collective bargaining." #TUC2026
Lord John Hendy KC speaks next. “The single most important demand for the trade union movement is for sector-wide collective bargaining... Its absence has led to the fact that we now have a cost of living crisis with millions of workers left without enough to put food on the table.” #TUC2026
The @cwunews.bsky.social’s Dave Ward: Sectoral Collective Bargaining needs the trade union movement to agree standards in each sector of the economy. “We are not going to achieve that against the level of power employers have got, unless we roll our sleeves up together.” #TUC2026

On access rights, she says that the watered down version of TU access rights simply isn't what it should have been. We need to review the provisions to give unions a proper right, robustly enforced. #TUC2026
Next up is Fran Heathcote of @pcsunion.bsky.social. She tells us- a single status of worker was promised but left undelivered. This will continue the abuse of bogus self-employment, excluding vulnerable workers from employment rights they should be enjoying. #TUC2026
Kicking off our fringe event with POA general secretary, Steve Gillan.
